It’s that time of year again! School is just about out and lots of parents are looking into signing their children up for Ottawa summer camps. Ottawa Kids Camps is a great resource that has a ton of detailed information on various camps that are going on for different age groups in the Ottawa area. Be sure to check them out if you are looking for more information. But we also wanted to compile our list of some of the top summer camps in the area from various categories, so here it is!
Ottawa Senators Summer Hockey Camp: If there is a sports fan in your family and winter hockey seems like it’s too far away, then the Sens hockey camp might be right up your alley. There are 45 different camps happening over an 8 week period. Camps are open to children born between the years of 1997 to 2010. More Info
YMCA-YWCA Kids Camps: If you are looking for a more traditional summer camp experience for your kids, then you might want to check out the YMCA camps. There are day camps and overnight camps that blend fun, outdoors and education. These camps take place at Camp Davern which is close to Perth as well as at local YMCA locations throughout Carlingwood, Rockland and Kanata. Camps are available for children in Kindergarden all the way to teens. More Info
Discover Arts: We’ve covered sports, your traditional summer camp experience, so let’s take a look at the arts now! Discover Arts takes place at the Nepean Sporsplex and has lots of fun things to do for kids. Activities include working with painters, photographers, musicians as well as other fun things such as swimming and games.
