Sometimes it takes a young person to raise a village.

Youth have big ideas for change, frank assessments of problems, and a willingness to work hard in order to get results. CAYFO is an Ottawa charity which enables YOUth to act on their ideas and create a better Ottawa. The very process of getting involved makes young people and our community stronger and healthier.

CAYFO moves towards its vision through innovative programs and a steadfast commitment to a youth-led process. We create opportunities for youth to lead, connect and raise their voices.

• We create opportunities for youth to shine, and, through our "Spirit of the Capital" youth awards, we celebrate their achievements.
• We encourage their efforts to assist those most vulnerable.
• We reinvigorated political and decision-making processes and create a new culture of youth civic engagement throughout our community.
• We create an environment that allows youth to demonstrate and act on their ideas.

This spirit carries our hope for the future. We are privileged to work with like-minded organizations who aspire to ensure that Ottawa is child and youth friendly.
